Firstly today is the final day that you can apply for tickets for EURO 2016 - according to the website you have until about 8pm to submit your application. Many of the games are only €25 so it’s an absolute bargain.
Obviously you have less chance of winning tickets to higher priority matches such as semis or finals, and tickets are allocated via a random draw so it’s well worth applying.
I applied last night for a random game in the final 16, and now I can’t stop thinking about if I won a pair - I absolutely love France and to watch international football there with my close friends would be a dream.
Women’s FA Cup Final
The SSE Women’s FA Cup Final takes place on Saturday 1st of August, and you can get tickets for just £15. After the show that the Lionesses put on over the World Cup, I couldn’t advocate anything more than buying a ticket to show your support.
It’s Chelsea v Notts County facing each other at Wembley. I’m hoping to go myself if I can persuade my friend Jim to come with me. On a selfish note, I wish our national stadium was in the Midlands, it would be so much easier for me to get to.
SSE are providing your children with the chance to be an Official Ball Carrier or Official Trophy Escort at the event - to be in with a chance of winning you can watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxjTy342TLw and then follow the link on the video.
If you’re female and fancy bagging tickets to the Final you can enter a competition being run by the FA through their newly launched campaign “We Can Play”. To enter you need to record a video sharing how you or your daughter have been inspired by the Lionesses and use the hashtag #WECANPLAY.
I recently finished reading Strong Woman by Karren Brady, and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone - male or female. It was a great insight into how Brady works, and really shows why she is such a huge role model to millions of people.
What are your football related book recommendations?
Also if you enter the We Can Play competition I’d love to see your video so feel free to tag me in the tweet as well at @annalouiseadams
